Applicants, whose requests for certification are denied, have the right to an appeal. An Appeals Board, appointed by “RAMP,” will review appeals.

1. Appeal must be filed within 60 days of the denial of an individual’s application to the RMTD ParaTransit Appeal Board.
2. The process includes an opportunity to be heard and to present information and arguments, separation of functions, written notification, of the decision and the reason for it.
3. RMTD ParaTransit will not provide Paratransit service to the individual pending the determination on appeal. If RMTD ParaTransit has not made a decision within 30 days of the completion of the appeal process, RMTD Paratransit will provide service from that time until a decision on appeal is issued. A decision on eligibility will be made by RMTD ParaTransit as soon as possible.
