RMTD’s hours of operation are as follows:

Monday thru Friday:

4:15 am to 6:15 pm

Night Service (Rockford only)

6:15 pm to 12:15 pm

Two late night shuttles run between 12:15a.m. and 12:45 a.m. providing transportation from downtown to final destination stops along the night route.  The late night shuttle is for drop offs only along the route.

Saturdays: 

6:00 am to 6:15 pm*

Sundays:

9:15 am to 5:15 pm**

*Some Saturday routes run beyond 6:15 pm. Please check the individual route timetables for verification.

**There is one early morning East State route.  #42 starts at 8:15 a.m.  All other routes start at 9:15 on Sundays.

RMTD also operates the Rockford Paratransit service. Rockford Paratransit operates during the same hours as RMTD in the communities it services with the exception of Loves Park and Machesney Park where Paratransit service runs until 10:00 p.m.  Rockford ParaTransit serves the needs of customers, who because of a disability, are unable to use RMTD’s regular fixed route service, and who meet the criteria established by the U.S. Department of Transportation under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

ESTC Building is open M-F 6:00 am until 10:30 pm w/customer service hours M-F from 7:45am to 4:45pm

Saturday 7:00am-6:30 pm

Sunday and Holiday 8:00am to 4:30 pm

Greyhound due 8:35AM and 4:05PM Daily

RMTD provides NO SERVICE on the following holidays:

• Fourth of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
