RMTD Receives 6.85 Million In Capital Grant Funding

COVID UPDATE

Please note that effective November 8, 2020 the number of passengers allowed on an RMTD vehicle will be limited 14 and all passengers must be seated. This is in accordance with the guidance from the Winnebago County Health Department. RMTD will be adjusting its routes in order to accommodate the capacity limit. Passengers are being requested to board and alight via the rear doors and all fares are being waived until further notice.

All passengers will continue to be required to wear a mask or other facial covering that covers both their mouth and nose at all times while they are on any RMTD vehicle.  Passengers not wearing facial covering of some sort will not be allowed on the vehicle. Passengers must refrain from removing their facial coverings at any time for any reason while onboard the bus.

RMTD has also introduced additional safety measures for passengers including having each fixed route bus equipped with 2 hand sanitizer stations, in the front and rear of the vehicles for passenger use. The paratransit vehicles will have 1 hand sanitizer station. Passengers are encouraged to use the sanitizers when they board the vehicle.

Finally, RMTD continues its aggressive cleaning measures and will continue to wipe down all hard surfaces on the bus during the mid-day hour.  Buses will also be cleaned nightly with disinfectant and systematic fogging.
