The Rockford Mass Transit District (RMTD) is excited to announce a number of changes to its fixed route service to insure easier access and more coverage for customers. The changes are scheduled to go into effect on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

RMTD is excited to announce that the city Market Trolley is back for the 2024 City Market. Every Friday From 4:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. we will be running our free trolley service in downtown Rockford. We hope to see you there.

Effective 1/7/24, #6 Kilburn will no longer go to Center of Hope. Effective Saturday, 1/13/24, Saturday #7 S Main St will make 12 trips from the first trip at 6:15 am and the last trip at 5:15 pm.

The Rockford Mass Transit will be adding an hour of service to its core routes starting Monday, November 29, 2021. Service in core routes will start at 4:15 am.

RMTD will also be extending service 1 hour later on all 6 of its night routes also starting on Monday, November 29, 2021. Click below for all the information on this service expansion.
