Rockford Mass Transit District has two Transfer Centers in Rockford.  The Downtown Transfer Center is located at 501 W State.  The East Side Transfer Center is located at 725 N. Lyford Road.

Hours of operation for both Locations are listed below.

Downtown Transfer Center:

5:00 a.m.-11:15 p.m.          Monday-Friday         *Photo IDs Available 8am-5pm

7:00 a.m.-5:15 p.m.            Saturday                  *Photo IDs Available 8am-5pm

9:00 a.m.-4:15 p.m.            Sunday                    *Photo IDs Available 8am-5pm

East Side Transfer Center

6:00 a.m.-10:30 p.m.        Monday-Friday    *Photo IDs Available 8am-5pm

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.          Saturday              

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.          Sunday                

For the convenience of our passengers, both locations are heated, air-conditioned, equipped with full restroom facilities, vending machines, a large waiting room and covered bus access areas.  RMTD bus passes and tickets can be purchased at either location. 

Photo IDs Photo IDs can be obtained at both locations, please not that times to acquire an ID can differ based off day and location. For specific times, check the operation chart above.
